Move from Short.io to T.LY
Convert a Short.io export into a T.LY bulk import file.
Use this when you are moving Short.io links and domains into T.LY. Start with the domains and links that still get real traffic.
Steps
- Export your Short.io links as CSV. If exports are not enabled, ask Short.io support to enable or provide an export.
- Check that the export includes the destination URL and short URL or path.
- Add any custom short domains you want to keep using in T.LY.
- Open the Shortener CSV Import Mapper for Short.io.
- Paste or upload the Short.io export and download the T.LY import CSV.
- Open Links, then choose Bulk Actions → Bulk Import.
- Import a small test batch and verify each redirect before moving the rest.
Watch for
- Domain routing: confirm each imported back-half is going onto the correct domain. T.LY cannot convert or serve short URLs on a custom domain until that domain is added, verified, and pointed to T.LY.
- Folders: folder names can be carried into descriptions, but clean naming usually works better long term.
- Old links: skip stale links unless they still receive traffic or appear in printed material.
If you also need QR codes or OneLinks, plan those after the link import is clean.
