Move from Bitly to T.LY

Convert a Bitly export into a T.LY bulk import file.

Use this when you have a Bitly export and want to recreate the links inside T.LY. Keep your original Bitly CSV untouched so you can compare rows if anything looks off.

Steps

1. Export your Bitly links as CSV from Bitly.
2. Check that the file includes the long destination URL and the Bitly short URL or back-half.
3. Open the Shortener CSV Import Mapper for Bitly.
4. Paste or upload the Bitly export and download the T.LY import CSV.
5. Open Links, then choose Bulk Actions → Bulk Import.
6. Import 5 to 10 important links first. Test the redirects before importing the full file.

Watch for

• Custom domains: make sure the domain you want to use is already added and verified in T.LY before importing branded links. T.LY cannot keep old custom-domain short URLs working unless that domain is pointed to T.LY.
• Duplicate back-halves: rename anything that is already taken on the selected T.LY domain.
• Campaign links: check ads, QR codes, and email links by hand after import.
