Move from TinyURL to T.LY

Prepare TinyURL links for T.LY bulk import.

Use this when you are moving TinyURL links into T.LY. TinyURL exports can vary, so the safest path is a simple spreadsheet with one row per link.

Steps

1. Export your TinyURL links if your account supports it, or prepare a spreadsheet with the TinyURL, destination URL, alias, and notes.
2. Make sure every row has a destination URL. The destination is the required field for T.LY import.
3. Open the Shortener CSV Import Mapper for TinyURL.
4. Paste or upload the TinyURL data and download the T.LY import CSV.
5. Open Links, then choose Bulk Actions → Bulk Import.
6. Import the links that still matter first. Test them before importing old archives.

Watch for

• Missing destinations: rows without a long URL cannot be imported.
• Branded domains: if any TinyURL links use a custom domain, add and verify that domain in T.LY first. T.LY cannot keep short URLs working for a domain it does not control.
• Aliases: aliases may already be taken on the T.LY domain, so rename duplicates before import.
• Old public links: test links in social bios, documents, and printed material before retiring the old setup.
