How To Setup A Custom Domain
Connecting your domain to T.LY is a great way to brand short links for your personal or business use. With our white-label custom domain service, you can turn those long, unwieldy URLs into something short, sweet, and branded with your own domain name. If you do not already have a domain or subdomain you would like to use, you need to find an available domain and register it using a domain registrar such as Google Domains or Cloudflare. Once you have a domain, it’s a simple process that only takes a few minutes.
Step 1 Add Domain
Register a T.LY account and visit the domain settings in T.LY. Enter your domain and fallback URL, then click Add. All short links that are not found will redirect back to your fallback URL. Your fallback URL should be your primary site. There is an option for custom domain’s short URLs to not be case sensitive.
Step 2 Update DNS Record
Follow the instructions to update your A DNS record to point to T.LY. Make sure that all pre-existing records of type A, AAAA, or CNAME for your domain are removed. If set correctly, you will receive an email when your domain is ready to be used.
