T.LY Is Now Available in ChatGPT

We just released T.LY URL Shortener for ChatGPT. If you're already using ChatGPT to write a post or email, you can now create the short link there too. Give T.LY a URL and copy the link it returns. No T.LY account or API key needed.

Get started

  1. Open T.LY in the ChatGPT directory and select Install plugin. Sign in to ChatGPT if prompted.
  2. Follow the connection prompts, then start a new chat and choose T.LY URL Shortener from your available tools.
  3. Paste your URL and ask T.LY to shorten it. Approve link creation if ChatGPT asks.

Try it with your next link

For a quick link, ask:

Use T.LY to create a short link for https://example.com/.

Or keep it in the same conversation as your writing:

Write a short social post about my new article at https://example.com/. Use T.LY to shorten the URL and include the returned link in the post.

That saves the trip to another tab just to shorten a URL.

Keep your campaign parameters

Long campaign URLs work too. T.LY keeps the query parameters, including your UTMs, in the destination.

Use T.LY to shorten https://example.com/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=launch

I tested that URL and got t.ly/3AvXn. It redirects to the original URL with all three UTM parameters intact. Your link will have its own ending.

You get a shorter link to share without losing the campaign details.

A quick note about this version

These are guest links. They aren't saved to your T.LY dashboard. The ChatGPT app creates links on t.ly; custom domains, link editing, and account analytics are still handled through your T.LY account. Daily and shared service limits apply.
