CDC registered 22 investment projects worth $444 million in the first 15 days of February 2024

In the 15 days of February 2024, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) decided to issue certificates for the registration of 22 qualified investment projects with a total investment capital of more than $444 million. This is according to the report from the CDC.

The Council for the Development of Cambodia confirmed that sectoral investment projects include 15 industrial projects, 4 infrastructure and other projects, and 3 agricultural and agro-industrial projects.

The areas that received the most investment projects during the 15 days of February were Phnom Penh and Svay Rieng, which received the same four projects. Sihanoukville and Kampong Speu then received two equal projects, while Takeo and Stung Treng provinces attracted two identical projects, and the remaining Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Kandal, and Preah Vihear provinces received one identical project.

In the first month of 2024, the Council for the Development of Cambodia approved 32 new projects and production expansion projects with a total investment of more than $187 million that can create nearly 29,000 jobs.
