Notes This is a quilted cover supposedly made for a window seat by Mrs. Thomas Arnold for Martha Washington. Mrs. Thomas Arnold may have been Abigail Wyche. Captain Thomas Arnold is mentioned in George Washington's Correspondence in 1781 and 1783.
