With hours to go before the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs at Arrowhead Stadium, here's what you need to know if you are going to the game.
Parking lot gates
First, parking lot gates open at 9 a.m. Sunday. The Chiefs urge fans to buy passes in advance. Red Parking passes are $50 when prepaid online at chiefs.com/parking and $60 cash only at the tollgates.
Road construction around Arrowhead Stadium
The Missouri Department of Transportation has an ongoing construction project on sections of Interstate 435 and Interstate 70. There will be detours on game day at the I-435 and I-70 interchange for drivers on southbound I-435 toward Arrowhead Stadium. Stadium gates
Stadium gates will open at noon for the 2:05 p.m. kickoff. The first 50,000 fans to enter Arrowhead will receive a commemorative 60th season Chiefs Kingdom flag while supplies last.
National anthem
The winner of Season 9 of NBC’s The Voice, Jordan Smith, will perform the national anthem, while representatives from the Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department present the nation’s colors.
A full-field American flag will be displayed during the national anthem. The Chiefs said that weather permitting, four F/A-18 Hornets from Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia, will perform a flyover at the conclusion of the national anthem.
Kickoff is set for 2:05 p.m.
