Marc Racine, owner of this store founded in 1914 in Laval and affiliated to RONA since 1962, is passing the torch to a dynamic duo: Adamo Barberio and Matthew Di Criscio

RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, congratulates Adamo Barberio and Matthew Di Criscio for the acquisition of the RONA Guy Racine store located at 335 Boul. Chomedey in Laval. A genuine institution founded in 1914 by Mr. Damase Racine and taken over by four generations, this store has been affiliated to the RONA network for 61 years.

With this acquisition, the new owners aim to ensure the store’s continued success by investing over $100,000 to refresh the hardware department and offer a completely renewed selection of in-store items. They also own Gamma Equipment Rental and Maadco Paint, a company specialized in painting.

“Our vision is to diversify our offering with more hardware items and to provide the best in-store experience for our customers,” says Mr. Barberio.

“We know that customers are very familiar with this store’s paint offering, and we have a great deal of expertise in this area,” adds Mr. Di Criscio.

In fact, nearly 300 SKUs will be added in the hardware, plumbing, electrical, decoration, moulding, and flooring categories, among others. In addition, paint customers can now benefit from SICO’s wide range of colours. The merchandising strategy will be re-planned to optimize the total space of the 3,800 sq. ft. store.
