Satanic Slip-up: Australian news outlet accidentally posts footage of hellish ceremony

An Australian news station made a viral moment when they accidentally broadcast a few seconds of what appeared to be a Satanic ritual.

Earlier this week, Australian television viewers were surprised to see a broadcast of some sort of dark ritual. The station was hosting a series of clips regarding police dogs and local politicians. The footage suddenly cut to what appears to be an upside-down cross, three hooded figures on a stage and a man proclaiming "Hail Satan."

Upon seeing the clip, local producers cut the footage back to Yong, who continued her narration as though nothing had happened. It remains unclear if the clip itself was a gaffe, a prank by unknown parties or something else altogether. ABC TV has not responded to any requests as to the origin of the clip or if it was unintentional.

Insider reports that the clip was of a ritual completed by the Queensland-based Noosa Temple of Satan, who posted a longer video of their ritual to Facebook on October 30th. The Temple would later comment on Twitter that "Satan works in mysterious ways."

The Noosa Temple of Satan made news earlier this year when the group made a push for the Australian government to allow for the teaching of Satanism in religious classes at public schools.
