RONA - Montreal employers 2024
March 13, 2024

What Makes RONA a Top Employer in Montréal?

RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating or servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, has been named one of Montréal’s Top Employers for the fourth consecutive year. First organized in 2006 by Mediacorp, who also publishes Canada’s Top 100 Employers every year, this annual regional competition celebrates employers in the Greater Montréal are who stand out in their industry by offering an exceptional work environment.

For 2024, companies were chosen according to their commitment to improving employees’ quality of life by providing experiences that enrich their daily lives. These organizations are also recognized for creating a working environment that fosters a work-life balance, so that everyone can pursue their passions and commitments.

“What I like about RONA is what I accomplish every day and the support I receive from my colleagues and management,” says Jean Belley, Sales Advisor at RONA Pierrefonds. After spending over thirty years in a financial institution, Jean retired and returned to the job market with RONA.

To rank among Montréal’s Top Employers, companies are reviewed on eight criteria:

  • Workplace
  • Work atmosphere and social activities
  • Benefits (health, financial, and family)
  • Vacation and time off
  • Employee communications
  • Performance management
  • Training and skills development
  • Community involvement

“At RONA, the possibilities are endless, and there’s a place for anyone who wants to help customers realize their dream projects. We provide employees with all the tools they need to develop professionally and we offer growth opportunities to those who show an interest in developing their knowledge and careers,” says Kathie Deneault, Vice-President, Human Resources. She also adds that “RONA believes that differences are an invaluable strength and is highly committed to diversity and inclusion.”

The Spring Hiring Campaign is underway

In anticipation of the busiest season of the industry, RONA recently launched its Spring Hiring Campaign. The company is looking for passionate candidates who want to learn, pass on their experience, and share their passion for gardening, decorating, backyarding, barbecuing, renovation, and more.
